With fall migration kicking in, September was a great month for the new yard list. I added 14 new species, taking the total to 72. Highlights of the month included a calling YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, a couple of flyover VAUX’S SWIFTS, a ROCK WREN which appeared on my roof, calling frantically, both WILSON’S and BLACK-THROATED GRAY […] I’ve been doing Fun Birding Workshops in SE Arizona for a couple of years now, but they haven’t really taken off in their current format.
