Santa Cruz Flats, Catalina State Park

Some wonderful moments today in the Santa Cruz Flats and Catalina State Park. 73 species again – second day running.

Santa Cruz Flats:
Superb views of a FERRUGINOUS HAWK along Pretzer Rd a mile west of Picacho Hwy, and two PRAIRIE FALCONS along Baumgartner a mile west of Cripple Creek Rd.
Pair of MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRDS along E Coachway Rd, just west of the Red Rock Feedlot.
Four SAGEBRUSH SPARROWS north of Harmon Rd, a mile east of Sunland Gin Rd.
Also, three BURROWING OWLS, INCA DOVES, COMMON GROUND-DOVE, ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER, TREE, VIOLET-GREEN and NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS, two pairs of BENDIRE’S THRASHERS, and lots of AMERICAN PIPITS.

Paradise Lake, Arizona City:
AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN, REDHEAD and a surprisingly large number of RUDDY DUCKS.

NORTHERN BEARDLESS-TYRANNULET, GRAY FLYCATCHER, RUFOUS-WINGED SPARROWS.
