Five-striped Sparrow

Another day of target birding, with more success.

Tubac:
GRAY HAWK, calling NORTHERN BEARDLESS-TYRANNULET, DUSKY-CAPPED FLYCATCHER, WILSON’S WARBLER, RUFOUS-WINGED SPARROW, WESTERN TANAGER, but no Sinaloa Wren again, this time from 6:00-6:40.

Ruby Road:
GRAY HAWK, WESTERN SCRUB-JAY, TOWNSEND’S SOLITAIRE, BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK.

California Gulch:
FIVE-STRIPED SPARROW between the first and second dry creek crossings.
Also, BLACK-CHINNED, COSTA’S and BROAD-BILLED HUMMINGBIRDS, PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER, oriantha WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, SUMMER TANAGER, LAZULI BUNTING, and HOODED ORIOLE.

Patagonia Lake Road:
BOTTERI’S SPARROWS at Azteca Court and Mayas Court.

Tubac:
Still no sight or sound of the Sinaloa Wren in a third brief visit. A first-summer (last-year’s juvenile) GRAY HAWK was an interesting find.
