Tucson Bird & Wildlife Festival tour: Catalina State Park

Today I led another tour for the Tucson Bird & Wildlife Festival, this time a fairly short morning trip to Catalina State Park.

We found a number of good birds, which included DUSKY-CAPPED, PACIFIC-SLOPE and GRAY FLYCATCHERS, NORTHERN BEARDLESS-TYRANNULET, GILDED FLICKER, and RUFOUS-WINGED SPARROW, as well as all the expected species of desert and mesquite foothills. We had excellent views of GREATER ROADRUNNER and a nice Canyon Spotted Whiptail lizard.
