I led a very large group of over 40 people on the weekly free bird walk along the birding trail at the eastern end of Patagonia Lake State Park. It’s always a bit tricky with such a large group, and the birding was slow in general, so our total of 49 species wasn’t too bad, considering. February 19th, 2015 Tags: continental, guiding, rarities, santa cruz flats, se az birding, sweetwater, urban tucson An epic day starting in Green Valley and ending as latecomers to Birds and Beer in Tucson, via Sweetwater Wetlands and the Santa Cruz Flats. Winter birding in SE Arizona at its very best, with 88 species. |
