May 23rd, 2016  Tags: ash canyon, guiding, huachucas, madera canyon, ramsey canyon, santa ritas, se az birding A really fine day of target birding in the Huachuca Mountains, with the focus on flycatchers. We had one particularly special moment. I really love the SW Wings Birding Festival, both the main festival in August and the relatively new ‘Spring Fling’ field trips in May. I had the pleasure of leading a fun and enthusiastic group on today’s trip to Carr Canyon. We ended with an excellent list of 76 species. More successful target birding, today in the wonderful Huachuca Mountains. |
