After conducting a Yellow-billed Cuckoo survey in Pesqueira Canyon near Nogales, Jennie and I headed to Patagonia Lake for some general birding. Despite not arriving until 1:00 pm, we racked up an impressive 53 species along the Birding Trail, with some excellent rarities.

An excellent day of winter birding around Patagonia and Sonoita, with 79 species. June 18th, 2016  Tags: guiding, nogales, patagonia, patagonia lake, paton center, rarities, santa ritas, se az birding Despite the ferocious heat, we managed to find our main target bird and had a very productive day, with 87 species in total. I led this week’s free bird walk at Patagonia Lake State Park, which was very productive. We tallied an impressive 63 species. |
